Sweats at Night Sleep Can Trigger Acne
There are many factors that can cause acne, including facial and food hygiene. Frequent night sweats during sleep is also one of the causes that can trigger acne.
Acne is the result of the buildup of bacteria, accumulation of abnormal skin cells that clog hair follicles and excess production of sebum, an oily substance that helps lubricate the skin and hair. If the pores or hair follicles become clogged, excessive sebum glands leads to the formation of acne, inflammation and red spots on the skin.
Excessive sweating during sleep can also contribute to clogged pores and hair follicles. Salt deposits from sweat buildup can clog pores and cause acne. Reported Mayoclinic, Thursday (11/23/2011), night sweats can wet your clothes while sleeping at a normal temperature.
Most night sweats is not a sign of medical problems, but can be caused by using heavy clothing during sleep or side effects of certain drugs. Menopausal women have a risk level of night sweats.
If you experience weight loss, fever, night sweats and increased along with acne, then you should immediately contact your doctor. Overheating (excess heat) the body can cause acne and chronic skin condition called atopic dermatitis or eczema.
If you have acne because of frequent night sweats, so be diligent to clean the skin after waking. Shower immediately after waking can clean any dirt and salt deposits that can cause acne.
